As stated before in my introductory speech, I practiced the speech ten times. I wrote out and tried to memorize the introduction and conclusion. You definitely want to memorize the the introduction because that's when you may feel the confrontation reaction and knowing exactly what to do beforehand will help. I wrote it down and repeatedly tried to commit it to memory.

Notice how there is a structure and also that it is not word-for-word. This helps you have a conversational tone.
Make flashcards with phrases or words that work best. I start using key words or phrases from my outline and edit them to help me remember what to say better. I would recommend putting the first line or two on your flashcard of your introduction.
